Mini
pond kits are not necessarily as "mini" as
they sound. In truth, they are generally used to create ponds that
range from 400 gallons to 1000 gallons.
So, what is the main difference between a mini pond
kit and a regular one? Well, the differences vary from manufacturer
to manufacturer, from kit to kit. Basically, though, the mini kits
generally have smaller components and/or fewer components.
This means that such a kit would come with a smaller
check valve assembly, smaller flexible PVC pipe, and a smaller pump.
It would not necessarily include underwater lights, a waterfall kit,
beneficial bacteria, and other such items that a larger kit would
likely include.
So, whether you want a mini pond kit or one of another
sort depends greatly upon how much time, effort, and money you are
willing to commit, as well as how you want the resulting pond to look.
